Felt like both teams were a little rusty early coming off bye weeks. Garrard County's Jaghyr Wood ran the opening kickoff back for a touchdown and was set to kick a chip shot field goal on their second possession before Marion blocked the kick and nearly ran it back for a touchdown. The Knights scored a couple plays later and made the score 7-6. After that Garrard took control, leading 20-6 at half and finishing with a 28 point win. Lions go to Mercer next with the winner taking home the district championship.

Five straight wins for Garrard (6-2), their longest streak since 2014. The Golden Lions also won their fourth game in as many tries at their new stadium.

Garrard quietly having a very nice season.  They are 2 or 3 plays away from being 8-0.

Garrard has some sneaky good athletes year in and year out. Keep in mind Montavin Quisenberry should be playing for this Lions team.
