Final. Walton got to the running clock in the third Quarter. Gallatin with a late touchdown against Walton’s JV.

Junior QB Avery Howe I heard set a Walton Passing touchdown record with 5 passing touchdowns in this game. He has made a big difference for Walton, since coming back from injury last week, after being out all year due to an injury in a scrimmage earlier this year.

Congrats Walton!

Walton clinched a playoff spot with this win, correct?

And who will they play in the first round?

Either Breathitt or Somerset! If beat Owen County next week will play at Breathitt. if lose to Owen County will play at Somerset in 1st round of playoffs.

If Walton’s beats Owen County next week, they will be the 3 seed and face Breathitt County. If Walton loses to Owen then they will be the 4 seed and travel to Somerset.

It’s definitely nice seeing Walton back in the playoffs after missing the playoffs last year. Walton is currently 3 and 0 on the road for this season, and 0 and 5 at home. So seems like Walton is better off on the road anyways.

Congrats to the Walton staff and players on a great game!

From Walton-Verona Bearcat Football on Facebook:

Congrats to our very own QB Avery Howe for being named the NCKC player of the week. Avery had 220 yards passing and 5 touchdown passes against Gallatin County last week. The 5 touchdown passes by Avery was also a school record! Congrats Avery!!!
