I just finished watching the 2006 game and that is the reason I am asking.

 

Special teams really killed P-Ville in that game.

Pikeville's last win was in 2000, which was 4 in a row for them I think. Belfry has won the last 6.

 

This series is very even in terms of wins and losses. Dating back to the 30's or 40's they have just about split evenly, although I think Belfry now holds a slight lead.

 

Most games, though, have had a fairly wide margin of victory. Seems the blowouts are more common than the nail biters.

I'm not sure of the exact score on those in italics, but it was in that neighborhood.

Everybody has struggled against Belfry the last couple of years. They both have great programs and this is one of the better rivalries in the Mountains.

Coach Haywood has a very good record against them.
