Running clock mid-second quarter.
Branden Gurley with.a Pick 6 for the Purples.
On to Fall Break and then the big one vs South Warren.

Good luck to Christian County the rest of the way.

Just shameful what has happened to football in Christian Co Schools (both CCHS and Hoptown). Absolute travesty of two proud and historic powerhouses of KY HS football reduced to what looks like neglected afterthoughts of programs. Just a tragedy.

And it’s not just the coaches, or the administration, or the community. It’s so many factors failing all at once.

@VF111 while I do agree with your statement from all angles, I will say the Hopkinsville players still go out and try their best to compete on Friday nights, County doesn’t even look as though they want to be there and that’s what disappoints me. I understand they played BG last night but it has looked like that from the opening kickoff against Warren East to begin the year as well.

Christian County has been on a downward spiral since 2019. A new coach every year since 2020 doesn’t help matters.

Hopkinsville is a couple of plays this year from being 3-3 with close losses to Greenwood & Warren East, so I agree with @TheBallCoach assessment of Hopkinsville at least being competitive.

But neither are even close to what they used to be which is sad.
