2 Florence gun shops where robbed over the weekend. They drove a car through bot buildings. Pretty crazy they got away.

This was on Facebook:

LOCAL NEWS: So why as Northern Kentuckians were we not reported this on the local news? Were the perpetrators illegal aliens? Why is our new being censored. I think it would be good to know a large number of guns were stolen. Why do we only hear things when there is a gun shooting? 🤬
Recently, there were break-ins at two-gun stores in Florence, Kentucky. In one incident, a stolen car was driven into Triggers on Lloyd Avenue, and in another, a stolen car crashed into Range USA on Mall Road. The stolen vehicles were left at the scene, but details about the merchandise taken or the number of firearms stolen have not been disclosed yet.

I am little surprised they got away with that, especially Triggers because Triggers backs into a major apartment complex with a gazillion units.  Like right in the back yard meaning there should have been a bunch of people that heard that one.

I'm sure you've seen the smash and grabs on the news where half a dozen people flood the store and then all take off in 2 or 3 vehicles. Typically in bigger cities or crews from bigger cities.

The one at Range USA is a bit more surprising but for different reasons.

I try to avoid local news but yes.  Sounds like big city crime hitting the suburbs.

Yeah, and using stolen Kia's and Hyundai's to do it. It's crazy how many of those have been stolen in the tri-state area over the last year or two. So much so that at this point they just steal them to break into places.

I have heard it is hard to get insurance on those vehicles because of how easy they are to steal.

It is and it's not like it's only the older models being stolen. For Kia's I believe it's models up until 2022 and for Hyundai it was models up until 2021. Stat I read online said there were 45,000 Hyundai's stolen in 2023. I've personally heard of people locally having them stolen 2 and 3 times.

Fox 19 just released a news article about these breakins, and the thefts that occurred over the weekend. They said that in speaking with the owner of Triggers, they believed that there were at least 6 people involved and that after breaking into the front with one vehicle, they had another vehicle nearby to flee the area. Also the plates involved all appeared to have Hamilton county tags out of Ohio, shocker.

The owner of Triggers is a friend of mine, super guy.  I am sorry this happened to him.
