Mr. Sixer
Cooper HS wingman Andy Johnson picked up his first 2 offers within with the last 48 hours. According to his “X” page, EKU and Youngstown St. have extended offers this week. Andy has had an excellent AAU Summer and as one of the top players in the state, he should receive several more offers by the time his senior season is complete. Congrats to the Cooper Jag!

Great player and great kid. Will have to carry the load for Cooper this year with Rondin and Pouncy gone but should be up for the task.

While most would think that, this team will have a balanced attack with the Combs and Pouncy brothers. Throw in Isaac Brown and along with Isaiah Johnson and team will be more than a formidable. I wouldn’t underestimate them too much.

Rondon will be a big loss but Cooper should still be very very good this year. But let’s be honest everyone in the 9th is playing for 2nd. Newport is head and shoulders above everyone else in the 9th.

Cousin Chris
My bad, I could have sworn he was a junior last year. Yeah with him and Rondon both gone it’s going to be even tougher to challenge Newport. But the Johnson kid is the real deal. I have seen him play 3 times and he is legit.
Mr. Sixer
Andy just picked up a 3-star rating from 24/7 sports. He currently holds offers from Morehead St., EKU, UIC, Boston U., Youngstown St. and N. Florida. Andy had a heck of summer AAU season and the exposure from 24/7 should help with additional looks from even bigger schools. He’s the best player in NKY and Top 10 in the state in my opinion. Wishing he and the Jags a great ‘24-‘25. 1
