I agree I sure hope so I have not liked him either time he's played for the Lakers. lol

I root for him being a Kentucky kid and all, but the dude has no winning intangibles about him. Minnesota for Russell got back Mike Conley and Nickiel Alexander-Walker and I can confidently say the Wolves got the better end of the deal.

Per ESPN and Woj, CP to the Spurs.  1 year, $11mil.

  • Friggin LOVE IT. CP3 is obviously not what he once was, but he is a true PG that will make Wemby scary to guard.

I can sum up Paul George in one sentence: A media darling, PG is a high-level player who had a great playoff run one year but is typically not around when you need him most. You can also sub for Damian Lillard here.

The 76ers also signed Tyrese Maxey to a 4 year $204 million contract.

Philly was one of the few teams with cap room to make this deal a go. "Big 3's" are a thing of the past, but Philly is in a solid situation with the rest of their roster to make this work. If anyone ever listens to Mike Lombardi, he always rails on the 76ers and is completely over the Joel Embiid experience. When they were willfully losing (i.e. "trust the process"), it set up a culture of losing and Embiid is the figurehead of that.

Isaiah Hartenstein is nearing a three-year, $87M deal with the OKC Thunder. I love this addition and it could be the missing piece for the Thunder to make a title run. He's exactly what they were missing last season.

Klay Thompson is heading to the Mavs it came down to them and the Lakers and the Mavs by trading Hardaway Jr. last week had a little more cap space than the Lakers.

Thompson signs a 3-year $50 million contract. I'd say LeBron will take the max contract now since the 3 players he was going to take a cut for have been signed yesterday or today.

Yeah, Stephen A. reported early this morning Klay was headed to Dallas. Again, the Lakers could have used his services, but they need a higher level three and D guy + bulk on the interior.

The Celtics ownership is selling the franchise but are spending some big money before they are out the door. They have resigned Derrick White to a 4-year $126 million contract and get this they resigned Jayson Tatum to a 5-year $314 million contract.

Donvan Mitchell has signed a mx deal to stay with the Cavs. His deal is a 3-year $150.3 million contract.

LeBron has officially signed. As expected, a two-year max deal worth $104M. The contract includes an opt-out clause after next season (meaning we will revisit this next July 1) and a no-trade clause. The no-trade clause is something teams are getting away from. There are still some conversations about him taking a $1M pay cut to allow for greater roster flexibility.

The Wolves lost Kyle Anderson to the GSW. This was inevitable as the Wolves could not pay him the $9M/year he got from the Warriors. This is one of those under-the-radar losses for Minnesota. Slo Mo did not put up big numbers, but he was a team leader, a versatile defender, and had no problem checking Ant when he was not playing well.

With the slight salary reduction, the Lakers can potentially pick up another ok piece in free agency. The tradeoff in the LeBron "reduction" was LA drafting Bronny and him inking a 4-year 7.9 million dollar deal.
