The Reds after a day off hit the road with the first stop at the Brewers who are in first place in the NL Central and 7 games ahead of the Reds. A sweep would be great but I would settle for 2 out of 3. The game tomorrow is at 8:10pm.

Reds pickup another run in the top of the 6th and now led 6-2.

Gut with this Reds team says they take 2 of 3 from Milwaukee, then turn around and get swept by the Pirates.

Reds make it interesting but hold on for a 6-5 win the tying run was thrown out at the plate. The Reds held on for the win even though they committed 5 errors in the game.

Reds drop game 2 to the Brewers 3-1 today. The rubber game of the series is tomorrow at 2:10pm.

Reds currently trail the Brewers 5-4 after 7 1/2 innings.

Reds lose 5-4 as Fairchild was thrown out at home in the top of the 9th to end the game. The Reds lose 2 out 3 to the Brewers and now are now 9 games behind the Brewers in the NL Central.  The Reds start a 3-game series at Pittsburgh tomorrow night.

Why is Fairchild looking to CF on that last hit? All focus with 2 outs is get a good jump and run like heck on any contact. Fairchild peaked over his shoulder at the ball for two strides and is thrown out in a bang bang play at the plate. Baseball 101. If he just runs and doesn't look over his shoulder he may have been safe.
