NC State takes the lead on a wild pitch by ace Johnny Hummel. The Wolfpack led now for the first time at 4-3 and this is the first time Kentucky has trailed in the tournament.

Cats need one run to tie it and two to win it heading to the bottom of the 9th. NC State leads 4-3.

    The Cats have the winning run on 3rd with 2 outs with Waldschmidt at the plate.

    Cats now have runners on first and third with 2 outs and Pitre at the plate. I can't believe they are pitching to him.

    Extra innings. Pitre hits a shot off the pitcher's glove and it deflects right to the 2nd baseman for the groundout.
