The #2 seed Kentucky Wildcats take on the #10 seed NC State in the double elimination round on the MCWS from Omaha, Nebraska. The game is scheduled to start at 2:00pm. GO CATS!!

Trey Pooser gets the start for the Cats he has only allowed 1 run in his last 3 start. He starts off with a 4 pitch walk and a base hit but gets out of it unharmed. Kentucky coming to bat.

Pitre gets a 1 out double for the Cats maybe the Cats can get on the board early here.

Pitre scores on a big 2 out hit by Nick Lopez to get the Cats their first ever MCWS run and led 1-0.

Cats led 1-0 and the end of 1.

The Wolfpack threaten with runners on 2nd and 3rd but Posser gets out of it and the Cats still led 1-0 heading to the bottom of the 2nd.

The Wolfpack have tied the game at 1 in the top of the 3rd inning.

The Cats take back the lead in the bottom of the 4th on a 2-run shot by Nolan McCarthy.

NC State starts out the 5th inning with 2 straight hits but the Cats get a double play and a ground out and still led 3-1 heading into the bottom of the 5th inning.

Pooser is in a good grove now he has just thrown 19 pitches in the last 2 innings. The Cats still led 3-1 going to the bottom of the 6th.

NC State ties it at 3 with a two out 2-run homer by Maksrewicz.

Pooser fails to get out of the 7th inning as the Cats bring in Cameron O'Brien to try and close out the 7th.

Still tied at 3 after 7 innings.

Well, I will take the blame for jinxing Pooser. lol

The Cats strand a runner on third in the bottom of the 8th and it is still tied at 3 going to the 9th inning.
