The Raiders of East Carter (22-6) and winners of the 16th region will take on the #17 ranked Raiders of Ryle (30-9) at 10:00am on Friday, June 7 at Legends Field. East Carter defeated the #2 ranked team in the state the Boyd Co. Lions 6-0 in championship game. Ryle defeated two of the top teams in the 9th region in root to the state in #9 ranked Covington Cath. 5-4 and Dixie Heights 2-1 in the championship game.

East leads 2-1 through 4 innings. 

Ryle has a threat in the top of the 6th with 2 on and 1 out. 

Ryle ties it up with some super aggressive base running, 2-2 in the 6th.

Tied at 2 heading to the top of the 7th. 

The Raiders had a chance to take the lead but two batters in a row took a called third strike.  I give a lot of credit to the EC pitcher there, but still.

East has a the winning run on third and one out. Ryle intentionally walked the #3 and #4 hitters to load the bases. 

Ryle gets a force at home for the 2nd out on a heck of a play by their catcher. It’s now two outs with the bases loaded. 

Ryle gets out of the jam going to extra innings tied at 2.

Tomolonis had given East all they could hope for today. Eight innings may have been one too many.

Tying run is at bat with a runner on 1st. Tate Scott comes to the plate with East's season on the line. He's a .465 hitter.
