Great Crossing 72 Ashland 59

Featured Replies

Final from Ashland. The Tomcats gave a good account of themselves. The Warhawks improve to 28-1 on the season and still undefeated vs. Kentucky opponents.

Final from Ashland's James A. Anderson Gymnasium. The Tomcats (19-9) battled, but Crossing (28-1) shot an absurd percentage and kept Ashland off the glass to gain separation and keep the home team at a distance in the second half. The Warhawks shot 70% (78 in the 1st half) from the field and 67% from behind the arc. Ashland could only muster 13 rebounds against GC's length

Dawson led GC with 20 and the Tomcats were led by Cater with 16 points. The Warhawks shot 70% from the floor and 67% from 3 in the win.

Just watched the game on Mytown. I expected Crossing to shoot a high percentage in the paint but their performance at long range was exceptional. Just looking at the game stats I would've figured an embarrassing loss for the Tomcats. Ashland stepped up their game and although after the first quarter the outcome was never in doubt, it was still a fun game to watch.

It'll be tough to beat this team if they continue to be as efficient as they have been. Moreno inside is being matched perfectly with spacing and shotmaking to create this. With the draw I don't see anyway they aren't in the finals, Lyon doesn't have the other horses outside of there big 3.
