Final from Morehead. The Tomcats (18-8) dominate the overtime period to notch a big win on the road over the Vikings (17-9).

Moral victories are not sweet but at the same time this loss should translate to a confidence boost heading into March for Rowan County. The Vikings are a quality team.  The Tomcats had their second February overtime game and they stepped up in this one.  Ashland's next game at Lawrence County is going to be a tough out and then follow that the next day with Great Crossing.  Hoping for a win on Friday and one of those "moral" victories on Saturday, we'll see. 

The Vikings have some solid guards, and are balanced!

Watched this game, VERY physical, not dirty, just physical, both teams played good half defense, good transition defense and were very patient offensively, all those things combined to keep the score 44-44 at the end of regulation.  Both coaches were very intense and passionate also, about as animated as I’ve seen Shawn Thacker, gonna be a fun boy’s region in Morehead!!
