Ballard Memorial is like many other small schools in that talent ebbs and flows. They've not been good the last few years but they had winning seasons six times in eight years between 2008-16. Between 1998-2002 under Jack Haskins they were a consistent contender to win one or two playoff games each season. The plus of this job is they are currently in a Class 1A district that is far-flung - Fulton County, Russellville, and Caverna - but not chock full of powerhouses. There are no Mayfields or Murrays in Class 1A western Kentucky. Best of luck to Coach Hedges!
