Sacred Heart 81 Meade County 52

"Bounced back."

I'd say so.

The Valkyries return from a four loss performance at the Nike TOC in Phoenix to handily defeat the Lady Waves.

Up next ~

Saturday - SHA (9-4, KY #2*) vs. Clarksville Christian (TN) at Bowling Green's "German American Bank Classic."

Tuesday - Meade Co. (9-5, KY #15*) at Bardstown.

As I said a week or so again, Meade County was in an unfortunate position.  Meade is a very nice team, but SHA was going to be a lot to deal with last night.

I just don’t see how Sacred Heart could lose four straight in any tournament unless they were playing prep schools that attract talent from far and wide. SHA is very good.

The Nike Tournament of Champions in Phoenix is considered by some to be the de facto girls "National Championship." The teams they lost to, while also private schools, are all based in lager metro areas than Louisville - Phoenix, Miami, Los Angeles, and Atlanta.
