The Panthers got within 1 late in the 4th quarter after trailing by as many as 12 in the first half. The Camels hit the necessary free throws down the stretch to pull away. Conner Snapp led the Panthers with 21 points and Kylan Hinson added 10. Augusta drops to 8-4 on the season. Next up, the Paris Greyhounds in the quarterfinals of the 10th All A Tournament. The game is scheduled for 6pm at Nicholas County on Saturday but snow could cause games to be rescheduled. 

Panthers showed anyone who wasn't a believer already that they indeed belong in the 10th Region contender conversation.  They are (IMO), the favorites to win the All A.

I can't see anyone in the 10th Region Class A standing in Augusta's way.  Brossart is way down by Brossart standards.  Nicholas might have a puncher's chance.  Might.

Nicholas would be the team I would tab to be the only other contender. 

 

As fate would have it, the Mustangs and Bluejackets face off tonight in Carlisle.
