NKY Girls Basketball Top 10 (12/4/23)

Good morning, we have one week in the books and things are already incredibly interesting.  Some teams eased into their schedules, others jumped in and really tested themselves right away, and others had a nice mixture of both.  I expect we'll have quite a bit of movement over the middle to bottom of the Top 10 over the first few weeks as teams settle in, and as we get more good head-to-head battles between contenders.  This week has a number of great games, so get out and watch some terrific Girls High School Basketball throughout the reigon!!  Here is our NKY Top 10 after the first week:

1.  Cooper:  2-0  (this week vs Highlands, at Sacred Heart (!!!), and at Montgomery County)

2.  Ryle:  2-1  (this week vs Pulaski County at Madison Central)

3.  Notre Dame:  3-0  (this week at Conner, at St. Ursula (OH), and vs Southwestern at Madison Central)

4.  Holy Cross:  1-2  (this week vs Dixie, vs Highlands, and at Scott)

5.  Dixie:  3-0  (this week at Holy Cross and at Boone County)

6.  Simon Kenton:  2-1  (this week vs West Jessamine at Georgetown and then two other games in the Billy Hicks Classic)

7.  Conner:  1-1  (this week vs Notre Dame and vs Owen County)

8.  Highlands:  1-2  (this week at Cooper, at Holy Cross, and vs North Oldham at Oldham County)

9.  NewCath:  2-1  (this week OFF)

10. Bishop Brossart:  2-0  (this week vs Pendleton County, at Bellevue, and vs Beechwood)

Holy Cross Radio will broadcast the HC/Dixie game tonight in Latonia.

Both teams are missing a key starter. Dixie (Coralee Pelfrey) and Holy Cross (D'Myah Williams). Should be a good one.
