Russell County 69 Warren Central 59

It's feeling more likely that Central may go 0-5 waiting for their players to show up.  And considering the first game after January 1 is at Lyon County, they may well start 0-6. Their worst start in school history is 0-4 in 77/78 and 97/98.  They had one other season starting 0-3, that coming in 14/15.  They'll try to avoid those come Tuesday when they host Owensboro.

As for the game, Central's problem was they simply fouled too much.  They're struggling defensively (offensively too but defense is the surprise).  And it's leading them to commit fouls.  Russell County won the game at the foul line, hitting 21 free throws; Central hit 5.  Shout out to the environment - the Laker fans were very loud.

Where are their players at until after the holidays?

Kade Unseld is recovering from knee surgery, and they are holding him out until then.  Elijah Starks is not eligible until January 1, the end of the one year ineligibility period following his last game at Bowling Green.  Elijah Howard is not eligible until January 17, also the end of the one year ineligibility period following his last game at Bowling Green.  I anticipate all three will be starters (in the case of Unseld and Starks, I know it).  Robbie Dye is another depth piece that will probably see time - he's out another 2-3 weeks, and since there are no games that Central has past two weeks from now, his first game will be January 1.  That's probably half of their rotation.

Definitely sounds like reinforcements are on the way.  I wasn't sure if there were several injuries or what.
