⏰ Round 1 update ~ Bethlehem, Henderson Co., Boyle Co., South Laurel, Bowling Green, and Sacred Heart advance to Thursday's quarterfinals. 

Two match winners today will complete the elite eight.

I am a bit surprised by 2 of these games last night.

Henderson County coming in with a #58 Maher Ranking knocking off #11 Maher Ranked McCracken County.

The other game was Madison Central, you knock off the #1 Ranked heavily favored Lex Cath who I expected to come home with the State trophy and you get knocked off in the first round vs Boyle County 2-0.  I realize in Maher rankings this wasn't an upset but boy after a high of knocking off Lex Cath you would think you had some special mojo working for you.

To me this is Sacred Hearts tournament to win.....When the Birds played them in the beginning of the season I was very very impressed.  I haven't seen a team so big/physical and well skilled since.

You still have to play the games though.....we will see if someone has that magic Cinderella dust.

This should be a great night for the Pandas!  I heard the Notre Dame faithfull are hiring a bus or two to make sure they have a nice cheering section.  Can wait to see any updates online. 

Bethlehem has capitalized on 2 mistakes by Boyle in the box to go up 2-0 at Halftime in this first Semifinal game.  Boyle Co has only gotten off 1 shot on goal vs Bethlehem's 6 shots.
