Florida State 31 Clemson 24

The Seminoles come from behind for the win in overtime. Even with Clemson not being very good I figured this would be a test for Florida State being on the road.

Clemson has lost one game at home in seven years (I believe), and I'm pretty sure that year was the last time they'd lost a conference game at home.  They are definitely off where they were, but they are extremely formidable at home.  I never took for granted that FSU would win, and FSU was far from their best.  Jordan Travis played very tentatively, seemingly refusing to run.  The playcalling was very unimaginative, as they were unable to get traction running between the tackles, and they ran go route after go route after go route.  Despite all that, they still made enough plays to win in what will likely be their biggest road test of the year.  And Clemson is basically out of the ACC championship hunt.

Really could not understand the play call on third and short in ot, and then the fourth down decision. Two pretty good teams and as a Clemson fan I wish the walk on kicker could have made that FG. Florida State could be a playoff contender.

It seems all the feedback has been that they called a run, but Klubnik is afforded the freedom to change it up if he sees something.  The problem, of course, is that he absolutely should not have had that freedom in that particular spot.  I'm pretty sure it was due to him reading that they had three guys out there and only two defenders, so thinking that you've got an easy situation with one guy free with two blockers to take care of the defenders.  But one of the other wide receivers didn't go for the guy that was right there.  It was the wrong choice, but it also wasn't just Klubnik's execution.
