It’s a priority of mine to keep you informed about what’s happening at our school and with your child’s education. Having accurate information will help dispel any rumors or misinformation you might see on social media.

On Thursday, there was an altercation involving a student and a staff member inside one of our restrooms. The incident ended quickly and nobody was injured. The staff member is being reassigned as part of JCPS’ policies and procedures.

We’ve had a great start to our school year at Male and it’s unfortunate that incidents like these detract from the great work being done inside our building by our teachers and students.

In the old days I would have immediately blamed the adult.  These days, who knows what went down?

I think the fact that the adult was reassigned and not fired, is a pretty good sign that the student was probably the instigator.
