⚽ Martin County makes its first appearance and joins three-time defending champ Bethlehem in the 11th edition of the Girls Soccer Classic.

A game of All 'A' heavyweights first out of the gate Saturday morning: Owensboro Catholic vs. Bethlehem. The Lady Aces have been rated in the top 20, the Banshees in the top 10 in the statewide all-class polls this season.

Tourney stalwarts Middlesboro, University Heights, and Walton-Verona are back in the "elite eight" as well. Looks like a great gathering. Good luck ladies!

Assumption and Collegiate are hosting both the girls and boys games. quarterfinal and semifinal games to be played on Saturday, the championships on Sunday.

Agree, and the draw was kind to the rest of the field.

Looked into the history tournament history page through the link. Only six teams have made the finals over the ten year span ~

New Cath: Champs '13 and '15; finalists in '20.

O Cath: Champs '14, '16, and '17; finalists '13 and '22.

Bethlehem: Champs '18, 20, '21, and '22; finalists '14 and '19.

St. Henry: Champs '19.

LCA: Finalists '15, '18, and '21.

Murray: Finalists '16 and '17.

Go Banshees!

I’m going with Walton Verona as my finalist pick….

I’m am going with St. Henry making a return to the finals.

Semifinals ~

Not sure if St. Henry got a "bye" or if Middlesboro made the trip. No score reported and not on the team page schedule for either school.

Sunday's championship final ~

Well done, my good man.

❓Point of order on the tournament location - the All 'A' site has listed Assumption and Collegiate as the hosting schools; Riherds/KHSAA notes "Frankfort."

The bracket in the OP reads Louisville Collegiate as host for the championship game.

Anyone?
