Bullitt East 13 Central 0

The Chargers defense played lights out and shut out Louisville Central.  The offense did enough to win but need to continue to improve.  RB position has been decimated by injuries but Central did a good job of shutting down the rushing of Qb Jack Zwernemann.  Congrats to the Chargers on a good win.  North Hardin is up next.

Central is 1-4 against a brutal schedule. It does bother me that they’ve only scored six total points in those four losses. Competition level is going to dip some going forward but is there enough offense in this team to be a viable contender in Class 3A?

I don't think so.  BE has a pretty darn good defense front, but Central just don't give you enough variation to have to worry about.  Defense is stiff as usual.  But handing to Stone, who is obviously really good, and hoping he finds a crease just isn't enough to beat a good team.

I agree with everything @BEChargerssaid to a degree.  I think they do have enough offense….if they choose to use it is the question.  Once they get into 3A play, their defense will keep them in any game, but they’ve got to spread the ball around a bit more on offense.  I’d like to see their QB pull the ball every once in a while.  I think he’s the key.  If they start leaving the ball in his hands a bit more, it’ll really help to open up things for Stone.
