Florida State 45 LSU 24

Florida State trailed 17-14 at the half, but scored the first 31 of the second half to blow the game wide open.  Massive win for FSU's championship hopes.  Their game with Clemson in 20 days becomes even bigger.

Florida State really impressed me tonight. I think this is the best they have looked overall for a very long time. If they continue their season like this, I look for them to win the ACC, which I truly can’t say how long it’s been since the last time I said that.

Florida State looked really good in the second half. At Clemson and maybe hosting Miami should be the only possible blips on their schedule.

LSU looked worse than they did in game 1 last year. It'll be a challenge to duplicate last year's turnaround after their opening game loss.

The Clemson game is really the only one that worries me, and that’s because it’s in Death Valley. FSU has only won there once since 2001 - the immortal destruction of a top 5 Clemson team in 2013 that helped fuel their run to a national championship. I hope the matchup in three weeks resembles that one. If FSU gets past that unscathed, they’re running the table.

Clemson game looks a lot more winnable now, than it did six hours ago.
