Key for the Tigers tonight is going to be Defense!! Too many missed tackles and open holes for Dixie’s running game. Another game where they are going to under-sized and they need to overcome that. Never has been an excuse for Beechwood and will never be accepted as one. Big time coaches coach their players up. I know it’s early for Coach Volker but he is a defensive specialist and it’s time to mesh his system with the talent Beechwood has. I fully expect that to happen and no better time than tonight so they can be as ready as possible for the Blue Colonels next week.

1st and 10 incomplete pass for Hayden as SK brought pressure. 2nd and 10 short screen pass to WR for 3 yards. 3rd and 7 Hayden gets immediate pressure and scrambles up the middle for the first down. 

Touchdown Tigers on 1st down on a WR screen to Cusick. Boy he has speed and just out ran all defenders. 7-0 Tigers

I was impressed with Cusick's speed. 

SK starts their first drive at their 25. 1st down QB draw for 2 yards. 2nd sweep run by Turner and Beechwood D strings it out and stops him for no gain. 3rd down completed pass for 1st down. 

SK moving fast. 2 runs for a first down and then a long pass to #7 with a beautiful 1 handed catch.

That catch by the SK receiver looked like Ja'Marr Chase.

Currently 3rd and 5 after 2 runs. Pass out wide to WR for no gain. FG unit on field.

FG hits crossbar and falls no good. Beechwood ball.

First play screen to Erdman and he fumbles it out of bounds but 1st down Beechwood.
