Open Job: Richmond Model

Featured Replies

This job is posted.  The Richmond Register has put out that former coach John Morgeson will be announced as Dunbar coach tomorrow.  Morgeson was 37-77 in 4 seasons at Model.

Last two Model coaches have moved on to Frederick Douglass and now Dunbar. It is an almost impossible job because of school size, district (even with a blind draw its hard to advance), and region (makes All A hard to win). There are clearly some positives to the job and you can move on to better spots even without a great record. I'm sure it will draw some interest.

Shocking hire to me, but you're right Coach Scarberry fell into a great situation @ Douglass and maximized it.  Maybe that had influence on this hire.  Dunbar won a state championship in 2016, but not sure about the current landscape.  They have went through a lot at the administrative level.
