One of the weirdest Reddit/Twitter debates I’ve been following is people arguing that Ovechkin did it in fewer games. I get that a lot of people don’t like Gretzky anymore but it’s nonsensical to argue he didn’t reach it in fewer games. You’d think they’d argue that Ovi’s goals per game is ever so slightly better in career at moment because he has the same amount in one less career game. 
 

Ovi needed a lot more shots to reach it as well.
