This is a big game for both teams and should be competitive.  Who do you think will win this one, Boyd County or Scott?

Is this pretty much for the District Championship?   

Game of the Mullets.
Long bus ride, 2.5 hours. Boyd has never beat Scott, expect a sellout crowd for the home team.  
Scott’s healthy and coming off a bye week. 
Both teams are very evenly matched. 
Scott has a very good RB, top 10 in state and Boyd has one of best kicker’s in the state. 
Both teams have multiple kids with college offers.

Almost too evenly matched to objectively pick a winner.

- Both are just a couple of plays away from being one loss teams.

- The one common opponent is Harrison County. Scott and Boyd each beat Harrison by three scores.

- Both offenses center around standout running backs.

- Both defenses have played their best in their biggest games. 

- Scott's offense is in better form at the moment and Boyd looks like the superior defensive squad right now.

This is a virtual coin flip, but I'm pulling for Boyd County. They've suffered through a lot of long seasons over the years. They're already assured of their highest win total in ten years and beating Scott would go a long way toward achieving their first winning season since 2008.

Both still have challenges ahead. Scott has Holmes, Boyd has Rowan County. If Scott wins this week, I feel a little better about their chances of sewing up the district next week, but who's to say how Scott/Holmes will play out after the two games they played last year.
