Can Meade County keep its winning streak alive against an Apollo team that has given up 207 Points in four games? The lower scoring the better for Meade County. If this turns into a shootout, I like Apollo to win its first game.

Apollo has been missing 3-5 starters every game, most of which (I believe) play defense. Their offense looked more put together against North Hardin, and had several big plays called back on “phantom holds.” Apollo also had a would-be 3rd down conversion ruled incomplete that on video was a clear catch. I’m a big proponent of teaching kids to be mentally tough and to overcome, but when you’ve got a group of teenagers who have been taking a pounding week after week that’s tough to do. 

Meade is 2-2 with their 2 wins coming against teams that are a combined 0-7. I’m an admitted homer but I’m feeling it this week. Apollo by 2 TD’s as Combs was getting rid of the ball and connecting with receivers when he wasn’t being tackled 10 yards out of bounds.

Should be a good one, I think Apollo gets most of their players back this week which should help them on the offensive and defensive lines.  I think Apollo finds a way to get one in the win column this week with a 28-24 victory.
