Sure Boykins and Birchfield are great, but it’s the big boys up front that separate Pikeville from the other 1A schools. Year in and year out Pikeville puts out a huge offensive line that no 1A program can compare to. That’s no different this year and you put an elite RB behind them in Birchfield and I’m not sure there’s a 1A program that can compete.

Besides Raceland, Hazard is the one I would probably put next in line. I don't believe Hazard can beat Pikeville but I didn't believe they could beat them two years ago, either. There is some familiarity there being in the same district and having played multiple times. I think Pikeville beats almost everyone in 1A even on a bad night, but a bad night against Hazard might be enough to cause an upset.
