I may be wrong but I think the youth program, under the control of the high school head coach and all working towards the same goals, with the right personnel involved is unbelievably valuable to a program.  Continuity helps, similar verbiage helps, expectations and accountability helps.  In a system like that, when the players feel accountable to each other more than they feel accountable to the coaches you can really have something.
