This kid has a chance to be SPECIAL!!!  The contrast between him and Mahle/Castillo is just night and day, they need to watch how he attacks the hitters instead of nibble nibble almost every batter, LOVE THIS KID!!

He's had some flukey results and is due for some severe regression, but he looks like he can definitely stick as a backend of the rotation starter.  

Is he just aggressive?  Don't really get to watch him but knew he's had some solid outings.

Today's start illustrates my concerns with Ashcraft regarding regression.  He doesn't strike anyone out.  Over time, history shows that teams are going to hit right at .300 on balls in play.  He can work around that if he can keep the ball out of the air and his walks down.  But his margin for error becomes much smaller when he can't get a strikeout in a situation where contact will hurt him.
