The Admirals (30-8) and Lions (25-9) kick off the tournament on Thursday, June 2nd at 10:00am at Kentucky Proud Park in Lexington. Danville checks in at #7 in the latest PBR Kentucky Top 25. Boyd County is unranked, but has won 20 of its last 22 games.

The Ads can slug with the best of them, leading the state in team home runs. Boyd has options on the mound to try and tame that line-up. My guess would be 16th Region Player of the Year Jake Biggs gets the call, but sophomore Jacob Vanover is very strong #2 option. It's just a matter of, do you take a chance on a sophomore to get you past a potent Danville line-up? Or do you roll with your veteran star right out of the gate? Biggs would be my call.

Should be a very good game. I don't think Danville's pitching is quite as good as last season but the Admirals still have arms. Curious if Danville making a second straight trip will give them a leg-up on a Boyd County club making their first state trip in eight years.
