This made me smile so big last night when I saw this result!

A lot will be determined by their pitching but I guess that could be said about any team at any level. Having Schwalbach healthy for the first time in a long time goes a long way. Abe Hils, Jack Hendrix, Wiseman, and Ryan DeBurger will also contribute to the pitching staff.

I was surprised to not see Foster Schuett suit up for the Birds. Is he not playing anymore?

Is CCH down this year? I saw that they lost to NCC recently.

CCH lost a bunch via graduation and had a couple of key returners end up not playing. Schuett is not playing for HHS. You will see many Sophomores contributing to the pitching rotation for the Birds. Three are going down to Myrtle Beach this weekend.

That’s great to hear for the future. I assume Benke is one of them. Who are the other two?

Benke and DeSylva both collected their first Varsity hits on Saturday in Myrtle Beach. DeSylva pitched well in relief in game 2. Barth is the 3rd sophomore. Will serve as 3rd Cather and may pitch some. Benke will pitch at some point over the next 2 days. 

DeSylva is a phenomenal athlete; no surprise there. Three sport guy too. Love to see that.
