Bishop Brossart 43 Bracken County 37 (10th Region Quarterfinals)

? Final from Carlisle, via BrossartATC.

Lady 'Stangs (20-10) overcome a seven point halftime deficit; outscored the Polar Bears 15-2 in 3Q.

Next up ~ Semi-final on Friday vs. winner of GRC/Pendleton Co.

Caught the final quarter.  Didn't realize Bracken had a halftime lead or that Brossart was so strong in the 3rd.  Pretty competitive down the stretch.  Lady Bears had their chances but Brossart held on.

Congrats to the Lady Stangs, even though they get GRC next.

Bracken County has improved dramatically throughout this season.  They play together well, play for purpose, and when they were hitting their threes in the first quarter out-scored our girls 24-17.

Brossart rebounded to tie the match at 26-26 and then stalled out, playing ask and answer basketball for much of the remainder of the game.  Lady 'Stangs hit their freebies down the stretch to hold off the Lady Bears.

Balanced Brossart scoring led by Olivia Lloyd with 12 points , Madison Parker - 10, Bella Rowe - 8, and Molly Kramer - 8.   I do not have Bracken County numbers, but was very impressed with Freshman Nicole Archibald and Junior Macie Sharp.  The Lady Bears finish 14-11, and I look for them to take another step forward next season.
