Nice win for the Yellow Jackets!:ylsuper:

Wow, Whitley is on a long losing streak. Nice win for Williamsburg. Looks like Coach Robinson is making alot of progress. Keep up the good work.

Great Win Jackets!!! TEAM work pays off. Keep up the good work. Coach Robinson coached like a veteran coach today.:dancingpa

I wish they would have put this one on the radio. At least the AM station so us fans of high school sports could have heard the game. Any details? I would have liked to have heard what Coach Deaton had to say about this one. He pointed out three key things he felt were holding the Colonels back after the Scott County Tn loss.....I found those quite amusing. One thing about it. If you ask Coach Deaton a question then you better be prepared to get a hard, straight anwser....he is not one to mince on his words.

Whitley led by as much as 13, but could not hold on to the lead. This seems to be a problem for them. Alot of turnovers on their part. The Jackets and Coach Robinson just wanted this win more than the Colonels.

Coach Robinson will restore of the old school " Jacket" pride back into Williamsburg. I recall he was a competitor back in his playing days. Congratulations on the big win. Hopefully the Jackets can build on this and use it as a springboard to more wins this season. I look for them and Whitley to both total about the same number of wins when it is all said and done. I think folks in Williamsburg will be upbeat with 6 to 10 wins whereas the Colonels fans might have been expecting more bang for their buck. The third matchup at Lawson gym will decide the third seed in the 50th. South looks to be a solid #1, Corbin seems a lock at #2...so the next game is for bragging rights and also to avoid South Laurel on their home court in the first round of the district.

Williamsburg looked good today. They played aggressive and played more like a team than in past games. Hopefully, they are learning that it takes more than just one player to make a team or maybe one player is learning to be more of a team player. It will be interesting to see how the Corbin/Williamsburg game goes on Tuesday night? Corbin has been slow to the start lately and several of Williamsburg's players are stepping up. Pettit, McRay,Kilgore, Teague,& Cunningham all had a really good game today. I'm looking forward to the match-up. Any thoughts?

Hounds will be a little too much for the Jackets this time around. I look for it be about 15 to 25 points, in favor of the Red Puppies......for a lot of reasons...I predict...... Corbin 75 Wburg 50.

What did Coach Deaton say were the three things holding the Colonels back?

I would just like to know where the MountainMutt comments are on this one? Anybody heard from the Mutt?

I have not talked to my old buddy Mutt in a long time. He must be working away from home during the holidays. Knowing the Mutt, he maybe down in Cancun or the Bahamas with the Hawiian tropic swimsuit models.:D

Boys I have to say the next time Williamsburg and Whitley meet, it will be a Lawson Gymansium and I have to go with the Colonels in a BIG win over the jackets this time..Because if I know Coach Deaton he will be on those young Colonels like White on Rice and they will be ready..I can about gurantee that one for Coach Robinson and the Jackets..

As for Williamsburg vs. Corbin this Tuesday night..I have to go with Corbin by 40+ points with Crawford, Smith, and Barley having a tremendous game against the jackets.

There will be no doubt Whitley will be ready, but I think Williamsburg will be just as prepared. From my understanding Whitley has all their players back and Williamsburg played without their starter Steven Taylor. Williamsburg is pulling together as a team and they never work harder than they do against Whitley. I think this will be another close game. Deaton seems to give up on his team quickly when they are down. Too bad for these young players. They have a future, but encouragement goes a long way too.

Both the coaches will have their teams ready for this rematch. Coach Robinson seems to be taking the high road with his Jacket team and giving them some instruction and much needed praise. They have come a long way in a short time. If they continue to listen to him and work hard then better days are ahead for the Jackets.

Doesn't look like Coach Robinson gets to excited in ballgames. Why is that? Is that just his personality?? Seems like he knows what he is doing.
