Morgan County finally finds the basket before the end of the year and puts up a big number 72 on the board. The Cougars hit 4 three's in row at one point late in the first half. Sophomore guard Tyler Adkins hit 3 three's in a row and Katlin Haney added another. Wes Montgomery was huge off the bench for the Cougars with some big time energy and scoring. Cameron Dunn hit some bombs including a 3rd quarter buzzer beater.

Good confidence booster for the young Cougars heading into a a west coast start time of 9:00 tomorrow vs. a very good Louisville Moore team.

Saw parts of East Carters game with UHA....very impressed with the Raiders and what Coach Baker has done, they outhustled the more talented UHA team and the game was closer than the score....East Carter surprising hurt UHA with pressure and Van Allen Burge and Drew Johnson were large. Tommy Dearfield and Ryan Seagraves are playing great for the Raiders as well. The 62nd district should be very entertaining come early March.

Final from the Paintsville Hoops Classic.

Sounds like a good solid win for the Cougars.

As the season progresses the Cougars seem to be coming together. I think it will be interesting to watch this team as they go along, and come District tourney time I believe Perry and his coaching staff will have this team right where they need to be.

Congrats Cougars!!!!

Sounds like the Cougars are starting to build some confidence on the offensive side of the ball, Nets.

I agree, by the time the district tourney rolls around this Cougar team could make things very interesting.

Just curious, was it a good defensive game for the Cougars as well?

Shooting the basketball with confidence is crucial for this group of Cougars. They also more importantly must limit the turnovers which have never been really an issue over the years, but with a young and inexperienced group for the most part you can almost expect those things to happen.

Cougars should get better and better as the season progresses.

Congrats to the Cougars on a great win against a good team!!!

The Cougars have to improve as the season goes because they have no where else to go. Right now they look like a 2nd string out there on the offensive end. The only player that looks comfortable going to the hoop is Kat. The rest look too tense and shaky and that hurts your ability to shoot well. The Cougars have great Defense and when they can get that "deer in headlights" look on the offensive end to turn to a "confident and comfortable" look, they should be a very solid team. But right now the O just isn't coming through yet and the D can only keep you in it so long.
