This win meant way more than just what's reflected on the scoreboard. Russell really needed this from a confidence standpoint. They had to get their heads right going into an Ashland rematch. Excellent job tonight staying focused and not looking ahead. Both lines looked as good as they have all year. Maintaining that is a must if they plan to extend the season much longer.

It appears Russell will avoid a trip to Putnam Stadium next week. The Devils have edged out Ashland in the RPI for the right to host next week's first round game.
