Aces and Hornets look to rekindle last year's magic

Records: Hancock County (4-1), OCath (0-5)

BGP Ranking: Both unranked in Class 2A

Series History:  OCath leads 15-3, dating back to 1998

Table Setter: If a winless season for Owensboro Catholic and a loss last week for Hancock County have stolen some of the shine from this game, it's only for those on the outside looking in at this series. For those on the inside, the fire may still be raging from last season. The Aces and Hornets engaged in a highly competitive and entertaining two game series last year that was briefly touched on back in the preseason.

 

OCath is still in search of offensive consistency (and honestly, any defense at all), while Hancock County knows exactly who they are. They'll try to establish the run game and ride the strong legs and back of Logan Willis. He's well on his way to a thousand yards rushing with five games still remaining. If anyone is going to provide offensive fireworks for the Aces, Braden Mundy is a good place to start. He went off for over 200 yards in last year's playoff thriller.

I think OC’s miserable season continues give me Hancock by 14.

Disappointing year for both really.  Hancock loses to Crittenden after a 4-0 start.  They SHOULD beat Catholic, but we will see.

 

I'll take Catholic in the upset as I'm not sold on Hancock's schedule.
