Estill County travels down I75 to take on the Rockets of Rockcastle County. 

Estill County comes in 4-0. Averages 37 points a game while allowing 8 points a game. 

Rockcastle County comes in 3-1 averages 31 points a game while allowing 20 points a game. 

East Jessamine and South Laurel are common opponents. 

Estill defeated East Jessamine 20-13 in a Scrimmage. Estill defeated South Laurel 40-6 both were on the road. 

Rockcastle County defeated both East Jessamine 22-21 and South Laurel 52-7. Both were road games. 

Hard to tell since neither team has played much of a schedule but I'd say Rock wins by a couple of scores. 

This will be a good matchup Rock has been finding it’s identity on defense and has grown each week. Rock should be 4-0 right now but fell apart late in the 4th quarter in week 1 against Taylor County. On the flip side Rock could have been 1-3 as well. In the next two games they were the better team yet started slow and had to put up two second half shutouts and come from behind in order to seal the win in what should have been similar to the outcome of Friday night at South Laurel. If Rock plays inspired football sticks to the fundamentals and plays to their talents then they win this one by a couple TD’s if they start slow then it will leave the door open for Estill to come in and steal a win against the Rock. I know the team is fired up and eager and ready to get the game plan going for Estill as they never got to play last year for whatever reason Estill never made it down to play. I look for Rock to be ready to play and do what’s needed to get the first district win of 2021.

Estill county is allowed only 270 rush yards in their 4 games. Friday night that will be tested. If Rock wins the battle in the trenches and is able to run the ball then they should pull out the win if Estill run defense is for real they may leave with the W. Rock has rushed for over 1000 yards in their 4 games with Chasteen leading the way with 546 yards and 8 TDS. Rock is averaging 250 yards per game so if this trend continues Friday night they will go 1-0 in the district.
