Howard, Fugate, and Thompson were in the stands looking like someone just smacked their mother while they were away. We all know (whether we'll admit it or not) that this is the reason the game did not take place last year. Breathitt was a long shot from beating Jackson last year.

 

Another thing, Jackson and Breathitt split the money from the game. Breathitt's Administration gave away hundreds of tickets at school that day and were letting folks in free like crazy. I was one of them. First game at Breathitt I did not have to pay for in my life. Breathitt also would not let Jackson's people in or around the ticket booth.

 

Someone mentioned home cooking! HA! Jackson ahead by 2 at the half and get blowed out the second half. Looks funny on the surface alone. Davidson was held all night and Watkins was beat to death, just for starters. Jackson waisted their time blocking out because they ended up flying over the baseline. I knew this would happen though. Don't even know why I went to the game. Jackson beating Breathitt, they'll never let it happen. When Jackson has a much better team like last year. Breathitt's says their schedule is full (about 10 games scheduled). When it's much closer, the sixth man factor.

If I don't change my mind, you wont hear from me again. I'm done with KHSAA basketball. I think I'll switch to Rollerderby! Shame Shame, their all kids.

 

In addition. It was pathetic the way Jackson's fans were treated. Breathitt's pep section was behind one goal and Jackson's another. When Jackson jumped out to a 10 point lead. Breathitt's bunch had the Police make Jackson's fans set down. Breathitt's pep club stood all night. What a Joke! Oh my God! That one will never leave my mind. This is bad folks. Especially to live in the same community. I know I've stepped on some toes here but I'm tired of watching Jackson get kicked in the stomach. I'm done here. Goodbye to all my friends on BGP.

The rest of your post doesn't make any since. It was a good called game. The Combs kid from Breathitt played about two minutes in the first half and about 4 in the second half because of foul trouble. We played as good as possible in the first half and led by 10 at one time then they outscored us by 31 at one time and had a 29 point lead. We just got beat.

How can you say there wasnt at least a lil home cooking. I think with a neutral site no fans no band no pep section and officials from another region jackson city comes out on top.

Not that we don't appreciate the support but they really should have worn our school colors. I was there also, had friends from both school districts sitting in that section and it wasn't Jackson's fans nor Breathitt's fans sitting in that section who told the announcer to ask the fans in front to be seated, or to move away from the rail, as it was actually put. Actually, from what I understand, it was administration from the Breathitt System. And I can assure you it wasn't anyone from Jackson City who asked the police to go up and tell the kids to move. They weren't doing anything wrong and were simply supporting their team.

 

I won't comment on the officiating because that just sounds like sour grapes but I will comment on the conduct of Justin Hollon on the court during the game. Let me set the scene for you....Michael Watkins fouls out, is walking off the court. Breathitt's player, I can't remember which one, is at the foul line and the officials' attentions were directed there. Justin Hollon is around the half-court line with his back to Jackson's bench. As Watkins walks off the court behind Hollon, Hollon pulls his shorts down below his butt, exposing his royal blue compression shorts. Now I'm not just talking that sagging thing the kids do nowadays, I mean he took his hands and pulled the waistband of his uniform shorts down to the top of his thighs in the back. He then bends over and we all get the lovely view. I don't know about anyone else but that is not what I paid my money, and I did actually have to buy my ticket, to see. He, and any administration who leaves such actions unpunished, should be ashamed.

Why no fans, pep section or bands? Are you saying an empty gym. Why is it always the officials fault when we get beat? Lets accept some responsibility and stop blaming it on the refs, fans or anyone else we can think of .

you r so right jcs, it's seems that it is always the ref's fault if a team loses, myself i thank it was a good game by both teams. There was a 39 pt turn around in the game from the first half. And also I understand that coach bank's had 4 freshman(Ritchie,Salyers,Haddix,Fugate) on the floor on a couple of different times. And that is not counting the Noble kid. Now that is brave coaching, but the freshman did hold their own.

I was at this game, and I don't understand how Breathitt's defense wasn't good. Give me Ryan Allen on defense, and i will say he wins. He held The Hicks kidd from Hazard to 0 points in the 3rd and they was playing man. As far as the Jackson game it was expected I thought any ways. Breathitt's depth ran away with it.

If the Hollon kid did do something like this. Jackson City officials should send a copy of thier game film to the Admin at Breathitt and give them a chance to look at the situation. If nothing is done, forward to KHSAA for review. Suspensions should follow. If the incident is true. I was at the game scouting for another school and I did not see the incident. I did see after the game during the handshakes a disturbance with Watkins and some of Breathitts players. Just an excahnge of ideas i believe. haha
