WEB DuBois Academy is a new JCPS magnet school that was created in the 2018-19 school year. It began as a middle school, and is adding 1 high school grade level per year for the next four years, beginning with 9th grade next year and finishing its expansion in the 2024-25 school year, at which time DuBois will be a magnet school serving grades 6-12.

As was mentioned in another thread on BGP, it looks like the Lions are coming out of the gate swinging, with freshman games scheduled against Trinity and St. X, among others. Coach Jake Williams says they are still hoping to add in three games to their schedule.

So from everything I've seen this is a school like Douglass that's manufactured to win in sports, right? And I mean, look at that schedule, even with three games missing still. Bonkers.

I’m looking forward to seeing them on 9/16.
