Mack The Knife
Final from New Castle. Owen’s Teagan Moore scored 52 points as the Rebels held off a furious Wildcat rally to end Gallatin’s run of 4 straight District titles. Owen led 33-10 at halftime, but Gallatin pulled within 74-71 with 24 seconds left. Ashton Gullion led the Cats with 15 points. Heckuva 4 year run by the seniors. Just came up a bit short against a great player.

ColonelMike
Teagan is probably the early favorite for the 2023 KABC 8th Region Player of the Year Award.... (though some other 8th Region sophomores, like Dallas Roberts of North Oldham, Dylan Hammonds of Grant County, and some others will likely have a say in that....) Incredible rally by Gallatin. 10 points in the entire 16-minute first half? Wow.

Should have noted that Gallatin went to full court press to start the third quarter and forced numerous turnovers to get back in it. The flip side of it was foul trouble soon started to mount.

And last night’s 52 came on just 23 shots. 18-23 field goals and 13-18 free throws.

Anyone up for that? 😁

That's amazing. Just amazing. Hard to score 61 points in 16 minutes....even if the other side is handing the ball to you on the inbounds plays.... 🤪 1
