2021 45th District Tournament

Lincoln County has owned the 45th District the last 10 years winning 6 total. Boyle is next with 3 and Danville with 1 in 2011. Garrard and DCA get things rolling with a match tomorrow night 3/11 8:00 pm. Boyle should be the favorite but Everyone seems to be playing better ball at the right time. Could we have some upsets during the 2021 tourney?

I'll take Lincoln at Boyle in the finals.  Lincoln wins by 5 in the Finals.

I think Boyle will learn from their close win against Garrard this week, and win by 10-15 pts in the rematch.  In an elimination game, I'll take Coach Jackson over Coach Mckinney but Danville is fully capable of winning the game.  So, I think both semifinal games will be competitive.

Danville Christian with a convincing win last night over a Berea team that has produced results this season similar to Garrard County. The last meeting between Danville Christian and Garrard County was a last possession game. May it be too early to write Garrard County in for the Monday night semis?

I've mentioned in previous posts DCA can beat Garrard in first round.  However, I don't think they will.  In a year or two, I do see them winning a district tournament game.

If DCA did win against Garrard in first round, I think it would be similar result with Boyle as it would be with Garrard.

DCA is really young but very capable of pulling an upset. Garrard should win but they have had a roller coaster season. Of course everyone has had a tough season. Key to upsetting Garrard is to put a chaser on Cooper and try to keep Quisenberry out of the lane. Those two players probably take over 50% of the shots. District is pretty balanced and anyone can pull a big game. The young players on these teams have a lot of potential.

I got Boyle vs Lincoln in the finals. Coach Jackson seems to have Coach McKinney's number in the big games. Boyle will beat Garrard in the semi finals, then beat Lincoln for the Championship. I will say this about Danville, if Hayden and Wood play like they did against Boyle, I could see them beating Lincoln Monday night.
