My guess is that Tom Ellis holds the NKY record for most games coached. Started coaching at Bardstown High School in 1929, switched to Holmes in 1946, and retired from Holmes in 1967. Total of 927 games coached with a career coaching record of 615-312 (66.34% winning.)

For comparison, here are the top 10 coaches in Kentucky high school for wins:

1.) Billy Hicks 1013 wins in 1289 games coached. 78.58 % winning.
2.) Dale Mabrey 937 wins in 1220 games coached. 76.80% winning.
3.) William Kean 856 wins in 939 games coached. 91.16% winning.

Ellis is currently #18 in Kentucky history for boys basketball coaching wins. I think it's definitely worth noting that he was also a head football coach more years than not. He has 311 total football games coached with a record of 207-98-6.
