Mustangs use a 20-0 run between the end of the first half and mid-third quarter, expanding their halftime, 35-25 lead to 52-25 before the Blue Jackets could stop the bleeding.

Mustangs Stephen Verst and Blue Jacket Dalton Davenport put on shooting exhibitions with Verst nailing four 3-pointers, and Davenport bottoming out five of them.

On the night Verst led the Mustangs with 23 points and 11 rebounds.  David Govan contributed 13, and Mason Septate 10.  Davenport, who was named to the 10th Region "A" All-Tournament Team put up 31 points, and was his team's only double-figure scorer.

The now 2-1 Mustangs await the winner of the Paris - Bracken County game which will be played on Saturday in Brooksville.  The Semi-Finals game will be played at 8pm Monday night in Alexandria.

A lot of good history between these two teams dating all of the way back to the 1998  All "A", when we upset Paris, and the Polar Bears got us in the finals.

Lots of good stuff ever since.
