No.

A dominating big man is much more effective than a very good guard.

Add that to the fact that the Heat are already strong enough at the guard position (Wade, Payton etc.) and Iverson is not a necessity.

With that said, I think the Heat would benefit greatly with AI in the lineup - assuming that they don't give up "too much".

He is hardly a dominating big man right now. If anything the Heat are weak at guard position. Wade is all they have. J-Will is hurt.

NO....two entirely different players and a healthy post player like Shaq, combined with Wade, is a better combo than Wade and Iverson.

I wouldn't.

Exactly....it seems as if Shaq is never healthy.

Did someone say something about shaq's package LOL

Sorry bored at work and thats what I thought the thread was titled :D

What has Iverson done to get the "negative baggage" label? Almost everything he's ever said that he's got bashed for was true. Plus, he has stuck by the Sixer orginization through it all and no professional athletes do that anymore. He shoulders the blame for losses, plays harder than anyone in the league, and does it weighing 165 soaking wet.

I'm supposed to be the franchise player, and we're in here talking about practice. I mean listen, we're talking about practice. Not a game . . . We're talking about practice. Not a game . . . that I go out there and die for, and play every game like it's my last. Not the game. We're talking about practice, man. I mean, how silly is that? We're talking about practice. I know I'm supposed to be there. I know I'm supposed to lead by example . . . I know it's important . . . I honestly do. But we're talking about practice, man. What are we talking about? Practice? We're talking about practice, man . . . We're talking about practice. We're talking about practice. We ain't talking about the game, we're talking about practice, man. When you come into the arena, and you see me play . . . you see me give everything I got, right? But we're talking about practice right now. We're talking about practice . . . We're not even talking about the game, the actual game, when it matters. We're talking about practice.

Elbowed in the mouth and knocked down during game four of the Eastern Conference finals against the Milwaukee Bucks; scored 28 points in a 76ers win, and later admitted he had swallowed blood from his wound as he played so referees would not force him off the court to treat the wound

Started the Cross Over Foundation and annually hosts the Allen Iverson Celebrity Classic to benefit youth.

I think AI's appearence and attitude attribute more to people not liking him than the "bad attitude."

You can put a murderer in a suit, but he's still a murderer. --Allan Iverson

So you defend AI for wanting to go AGAINST the coach's decision to want him to practice and rip Jr. for the manager talking to him about a change of position. Just wanted to make sure I understand that accurately.

It is okay to not just shut up and do what the coach wants if you are AI but not if you are JR.

Wow I assumed Shaq was alot older than that. I guess he just seems more worn down than AI.

lot harder to carry on your frame close to 400 pounds than 200 pounds.

Do you think AI wouldn't run out a ground ball? Do you think he wouldn't try to stretch a single to a double? I'm not sure practice and a position change have anything in common. I'm also 100000000000000000 percent sure AI would participate in a pennant race with a hurt toe. AI skipped 1 practice and that's where the practice quote was taken from. He does practice.

I won't rip a guy who doesn't practice hard but plays the game 100%.

I will rip a guy who plays the game at half speed and makes 10 million plus dollars a year doing it.

The extra foot of height isn't easy on the knees either.

No. Then who would they get to play down low?
