But that doesn’t change the fact that a few conferences are planning to do it. And if you’re a D1 independent without scheduling options it might be your only choice.

I thought the ACC had required non-conference opponents to be in state? Edit: I was incorrect; ACC teams have to play the game in their home state, it doesn't have to be against an in state opponent.
