April 21, 20206 yr Mike Curtis was someone I looked up to as a young kid. He played with tremendous intensity... think Jack Lambert intensity. He was formerly a FB and brought that athleticism to the LB position. Drafted in 1965, his interception in the last minute-and-half of the game set up Jim O'Brien's game winning field goal over Dallas in Super Bowl V. Curtis, known as "Mad Dog" may best be known for taking out a fan who ran on to the field and tried to take the football. The fan regretted it. Mike Curtis was 77 years old. April 21, 20206 yr Author I had to laugh seeing him take out that fan again. Give me a guy that plays like Mike Curtis. He doesn't have to be the most talented, but he will elevate his team and you will win with him.
