Colonels_Wear_Blue
How does that lack of a season in high school spring sports change the landscape of recruiting? What, if any, impact do you think this has on recruiting for high school winter sports? Will there be more walk-ons? Fewer walk-ons? Will there be any kind of noticeable change visible in the college teams that are trying to sift their way through all of this?
Colonels_Wear_Blue
I think there is bound to be a change in the way that some of the incoming college freshman approach their options. Some sports are going to have an entire additional class of students to compete for positions on teams since the 2020 seniors are now given an additional year of eligibility. Irish Cat
If the NCAA can't get any income from football it appears that many non revenue sports may be eliminated which is going to reduce the number of available scholarships.
The Raven
I wonder if we will see a rash of kids stay closer to home. Less west coast kids traveling east. Less kids from Texas and the southeast going north. Seeing stories like Mick Cronin not seeing his dad for over a year has to make people think. Do I really want to be far away from my family and not be able to see them should something like this occur again in the near future?
